Are you passionate about sustainability, the environment, and making a real impact in the food industry? We're looking for a Sustainability Technologist to join our clients forward-thinking team - driving sustainability and Net Zero ambitions across the supply chain, operations, and supplier network.
What You'll Be Doing as the Sustainability Technologist:
- Champion the sustainability strategy, coordinating action plans and tracking progress to deliver measurable improvements across environmental, ethical, and operational areas.
- Collect, analyse, and report key environmental data, including carbon metrics, water usage, waste reduction, and energy performance - helping the business stay on track with the Scope 3 targets.
- Collaborate across departments and supply chain partners, supporting environmental risk assessments, policy development, and audit readiness.
- Lead sustainability projects from field to factory, working closely with growers, production, and commercial teams to embed best practice and reduce our environmental footprint.
- Support the delivery of the Net Zero roadmap, identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement through data-led insight.
- Keep us ahead of compliance, ensuring alignment with evolving UK and EU environmental legislation, customer standards, and retailer sustainability commitments.
- Research and recommend new technologies, materials, and initiatives that enhance sustainable performance and supply chain resilience.
- Engage and inspire teams across the business, driving awareness, collaboration, and accountability to meet the sustainability goals.
What you'll need as the Sustainability Technologist:
- An understanding of environmental regulations and standards.
- A proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel
- Able to focus effectively on the task in hand and deliver to agreed timescales.
- A flexible outlook in respect of duties and tasks and able to work on own initiative but managing multiple projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels internally and externally.
- Ability to travel both within the UK and overseas if required
