Senior Sustainability Consultant
Essex
A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Sustainability Consultant to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile UK development projects while helping shape the organisation's sustainability strategy and delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of sustainability services across a diverse range of projects.

Manage and deliver BREEAM assessments, ensuring high-quality outputs and certification success.

Undertake Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using tools such as OneClick LCA, providing clear and actionable insights.

Conduct circularity assessments and provide expert consultancy on material efficiency and sustainable design.

Prepare technical sustainability reports, planning statements, and client-facing documentation to an exemplary standard.

Present findings and strategies confidently to internal and external stakeholders.

Keep up-to-date with evolving sustainability and environmental legislation and translate requirements into practical project guidance.

Explore and integrate new and emerging sustainability themes into the consultancy's service offering.

Support the delivery of additional sustainability-related assessments such as LEED, Ska, and WELL Building Standard.
About You
-
BREEAM accredited professional/assessor with demonstrable experience delivering certified assessments.

A formal qualification in sustainability, environmental management, the built environment, or a related field.

Strong background in UK sustainability consultancy, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation.

Proven experience conducting LCAs and using recognised LCA software.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of producing high-quality technical reports.

Confident presenter with the ability to engage a wide audience.

Proactive, curious, and motivated to drive innovation within the sustainability space.
