A respected building services consultancy is seeking a talented Sustainability Consultant to join their dedicated environmental performance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of UK development projects and contribute to meaningful improvements in building sustainability, performance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of sustainability services across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.

• Prepare, manage, and contribute to BREEAM assessments, ensuring clear communication with clients and design teams.

• Undertake Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using tools such as OneClick LCA, translating findings into practical design guidance.

• Conduct circularity assessments and provide strategic consultancy on materials, resource efficiency, and sustainable design practices.

• Produce high-quality technical reports, sustainability statements, and planning documentation.

• Assist in the delivery of wider assessment frameworks, including LEED, Ska, and the WELL Building Standard.

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders through well-prepared presentations and workshops.

• Stay informed on evolving sustainability and environmental legislation relevant to UK construction and development.

• Contribute to the research and integration of new sustainability themes, tools, and methodologies.

• Qualified in sustainability, environmental management, the built environment, or a related discipline.

• Practical experience working within sustainability consultancy or a similar field.

• Demonstrable experience in delivering BREEAM assessments.

• Strong understanding of UK sustainability and environmental legislation.

• Skilled in using LCA tools, ideally OneClick LCA.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven technical report-writing abilities.

• Confident in presenting findings and recommendations to a range of audiences.

• Curious, proactive, and motivated to contribute to continuous improvement in sustainability services.
